Getting started
- Open Fluent and tap Continue on the intro screen.
- Tap Start today’s session.
- Allow Microphone and Speech Recognition when prompted — spoken practice is the core of the app.
- Speak in English when the tutor asks a question. End the session to see your report and tomorrow’s drills.
Common questions
- Do I need an account? No. There is no sign-up, email or login required to use the app.
- Why does it need the microphone? Fluent listens to your speech to hold the conversation and give pronunciation, grammar and fluency feedback. Without the microphone there is no core functionality.
- Does it work offline? The live AI tutor conversation needs an internet connection.
- Which exams does it help with? Speaking practice geared toward TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge and the Duolingo English Test.
- How is my data handled? See our Privacy Policy — we minimise data collection, don’t use advertising trackers, and never sell your data.
